What to become a Small Business Supplier for the Grand Forks AFB/USAF?
Learn how to become a small business supplier for the Grand Forks AFB/USAF!
This educational seminar will discuss the Contracting's Role, USAF small business mission and vision, Small Business Program / Small Business Specialist, 319 CONF & GFAFB "Factoids", Agency small business goals/results, small business types/categories, and competition, what and how we buy, what a Business Should Do, Federal Acquisition Regulations and Govt Purchase Card Program.
 
Mr. Pritchett will also educate on the First Steps to get ready for Government Contracting:
  • Learn what you must do to be ready to do business with the federal government and how to position your company for sales.  This session will cover the steps for registration with DUNS; System for Award Management (SAM) and Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) databases.
  • Responding to a Sources Sought Notice:  Sources Sought notices are used by agencies when they know what they want, but not who can provide it.  Learn how and why you should respond to these notices.
  • Responding to a Solicitation:  Understand what is required in a solicitation.  Learn what documentation you need to provide, where to find evaluation factors, how to respond to evaluation notices, and performance requirements.
  • Finding business opportunities at FedBizOpps:  Federal government opportunities greater than $25,000 are posted on FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov), overview of this database, how to set-up an account, search archives, watch opportunities and register as an interested vendor.

Pritchett is Director of Business Operations and Small Business Specialist, 319th Contracting Flight, 319th Air Base Wing, Grand Forks AFB, ND.  As the Director of Business Operations, he is responsible for the acquisition and management of $30M in construction, services, and commodities contracts to support the 319th Air Base Wing, 69th Reconnaissance Group, and Cavalier Air Force Station.
