DEEP; Free Diabetes Wellness Class
The class will be held every Monday night at the Link (300 Cherry Street Grand Forks, ND) from 5:30-7:30. The classes are hands-on, interactive classes and each session covers a new topic that will help you understand the importance of diet, exercise, keeping regular physical exams, eye and foot exams, managing medications and more.
Yoga on the Greenway
Enjoy a peaceful outdoor yoga class in the fresh air and sunshine, every Saturday morning (except July 7) at 10:00 am. Meet on the green space behind the toasted frog. Bring your own mat, water, sun protection and other items you may need. In case of inclement weather, class will be held indoors at the YMCA, downtown Grand Forks.
YMCA Outdoor Walking Group & Inronman Family Triathlon Start
Get out there! The YMCA is offering several outdoor options to keep you active. On Monday June 4, the Y WALKERS outdoor walking group will begin and run each Monday & Wednesday at 8:30 am. Your leaders will take you around town and on the beautiful Greenway. Infants/toddlers in sun-protected strollers are welcome. Meet in the Y lobby by 8;30 am. Bring sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, water, phones and anything else you might need.
The Tin Man Ironman Family Triathlon is an 8-week challenge for individuals or families. Complete an entire Ironman Triathlon in 8 weeks or less and receive your "I Did It!" t-shirt after turning in your log. Indoor & outdoor activity substitutions are available.

Small Business Committee Meeting
Firecracker 5K & 10K Fun Run Walk
Start your 4th of July off with the Firecracker Fun Run/Walk for all ages! Entires are accepted online, by mail or at the Y. The event features a free Kiddie Run, refreshments, and t-shirt for participants. Prizes will be awarded to top male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K. Race results will be posted at redriverrunner.com and gfymca.org. There is a 90 minute time limit on the race. Race day registrations will be permitted until 7:30 am on race day.
Hospice of the Red River Valley July Lunch and Learn â€“ Suicide Assessment and Safety Planning
Hospice of the Red River Valley invites health care professionals to its July Lunch and Learn on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, from noon-1 p.m. Hospice of the Red River Valley is an approved provider of continuing education for social workers in North Dakota. This program will be awarded 1 contact hour.
Stephanie Pritchard, LPC, NCC bereavement specialist with Hospice of the Red River Valley, will present “Suicide Assessment and Safety Planning.” This collaborative session will teach attendees how to create a safety plan; identify definitions of suicidal ideation, intent, plans and means; and increase awareness of the importance of suicidal assessments.
Lunch and Learns will be held at Hospice of the Red River Valley located at 2860 10th Avenue North, Suite 400, Grand Forks, N.D.

Grief Journeys for Adults Support Group
Hospice of the Red River Valley offers a free ongoing grief support group for adults 18 years and older who have experienced a loss through death. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month from 1:30-3 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 3rd St. NW, East Grand Forks, Minn. This group is free and open to the public.
